I want to set up Gateway Sharing, only want to monitor part of a gateway. I only want to view specific views.
Problem
- I am connected to a Gateway but I am only interested in monitoring specific managed entities / netprobes
2. I am connected to a Gateway but I only want to monitor specific dataviews.
Possible Solutions
Solution Root Cause 1 -
Option a)
Set up Gateway Sharing on a gateway that has the specific entities that you require to monitor.
Add Exporting section to the gateway setup ensuring the x-path is created matches the entities required to monitor. Link below
Create your own gateway
Add Importing section to the gateway setup. Link below
Option b)
Run an additional netprobe on the server and create a separate gateway to connect to that Netprobe.
Copy the samplers/Rules to monitor the items of interest in that Managed Entity instance, from Active Console connect to the new created Gateway where only that Managed Entity will be present.
