Notifier manager not working, notification pop up not visible, notifications enabled but not appearing, pop-ups not working
- I am not seeing any notifications pop up from my Active Console.
- I have enabled notifications, but I am not seeing any notifications pop up from my Active Console.
Root Cause 1 - Notifier, General Settings, Notifications is set to Disabled
Root Cause 2 - Listed Notifiers under Filter Table are unticked (Set to Inactive)
Root Cause 3 - Notifier, General Settings, Notifications to set Enabled when Minimised
Root Cause 4 - Notifier Paths and Properties set incorrectly
Solution Root Cause 1 - Ensure that Notifications are set to anything other than disabled.
From the Active Console select Tools, Notifier and under General Settings ensure the Notifications field drop down option is set to Always Enabled or Enabled when Minimised
Solution Root Cause 2 - Ensure that there are defined notifications under Filter Table. By default there should be two definitions.
Show Critical Alerts on cells
Show Warning Alerts on cells
Ensure that the status checkbox is ticked - it should state Active on top of the checkbox. Also check any custom defined notifiers are also set to Active.
Solution Root Cause 3 - If the Notifier is set to Enabled when Minimised then the notifications pop-ups will only appear if your Active Console is minimised. If your Active Console is in view, then the notification pop-ups will not appear. It is suggested that you should then change the setting to Always Enabled.
Solution Root Cause 4 - If you have created a custom notifier or have modified the default notifiers, then you should check that the Paths and Properties of that notifier are valid.
In your listed Notifier under Filter Table double-click the icon displayed under Layout. This brings up a dialog box.
If you want notifications to appear based on severity, then ensure the Severity field is highlighted. The x-path under Paths and Properties should also be evaluated and check, as the notifier will only occur under the defined path.
