Issue:
If there's a pound (#) character in the process alias like below the stop and start commands will be unavailable. This is also true if the pound (#) character is defined as part of a process descriptor alias.
Solution:
The pound (#) was designed to be a special character reserved for Geneos. This character is used to denote children rows when plug-ins such as processes and FKM are used. These are displayed as indented rows under a parent entity in the active console data views. Along with this, we also use the pound character in our toolkits.
To avoid this issue kindly refrain from using the pound (#) character as part of the process alias.
