The short answer is yes you can. |
Geneos components are supported on a OS level therefore if your cloud instance is running a supported OS then the respective Geneos components will run and be supported. ITRS supports versions of operating systems, databases and browsers that are supported by the vendors themselves. Please check out the compatibility matrix for the latest information. The same principle applies to containers. How do I install Geneos components in the cloud ? Cloud installations are exactly the same as normal installations and therefore the same documentation and binaries hold. How can I monitor instances/containers that dynamically spin up and down ? You can setup a self-announcing probe to startup as part of your cloud image or container e.g. if you are using Amazon AWS then this will mean creating a custom AMI with a self-announcing probe. By doing so, whenever an instance spins up it will contain a probe and call into the Gateway automatically. Please refer to the self-announcing probes documentation for more details.
