Problem:
Not receiving alarm mail in the mailbox. SMTP is not functioning for email alert since the system recovery.
Possible solution:
Run the command below to restart the alert process:
systemctl restart alertThis command is useful in the following cases:
The service has crashed, become unresponsive, or needs to reload its configuration after a change.
You’ve modified config files or environment variables used by alert, and restarting ensures the new settings take effect.
You want to fix minor issues without rebooting the system.
