Problem:
The option to delete the custom Time Period is greyed out.
Possible cause(s):
- Root Cause 1: Host is using the Time Period/Check Period
- Root Cause 2: Service check is using the Time Period/Check Period
Possible solution(s):
- Solution Root Cause 1: Export all Hosts to check if the Time Period/Check Period is being used.
In the exported file, locate the Check Period field and verify if the custom Time Period is being used by any host.
If it is, update the affected host(s) to use a different Check Period.
Apply changes in the Opsview UI.
Once changes are applied and the custom Time Period is no longer in use, the Delete option should become available.
- Solution Root Cause 2: Export all Service Checks to verify if the Time Period/Check Period is being used.
In the exported file, look for the Check Period field and check if the custom Time Period is assigned to any service check.
If found, update those service checks to use a different Check Period.
Apply changes in the Opsview UI.
Once the custom Time Period is no longer being used, the Delete option should become available.
