Geneos - How do I input a comment in a rule?

Use the "//" symbol

To insert a comment in a rule, you should use the "//" symbol:

//comment1
if path "tool" value > 10 then
severity critical
run "fire"
else
severity ok
endif //comment2

 

Currently, inserting a comment within an if statement is not possible. There is an open PEBL request to allow this (AA-3049).
