Geneos - Network Plugin - how does cardSpeed, duplex values get populated

By default with more recent OS versions and NetProbe versions - Card Speed and duplex information is not obtained by default using ethtool - but instead the information is gathered from system files like below
 
/sys/class/net/<interface>/[speed/duplex/carrier]
 
Note if the above files are not accessible or do not exist or have unknown values within those files - then the plugin will display unknown as per what you see below

The plugin does not use ethool command by default to populate these fields, however ethtool can gather this information if the netprobe is run with elevated privilege's.
