Problem:

You see the following lines in your Gateway log file. This may be coinciding with gateway performance degradation.

<Tue Dec  5 09:37:58>  WARN: RuleManager Flushing jobs has taken 36s so far. 12485 Remaining
<Tue Dec  5 09:38:04>  WARN: RuleManager Flushing jobs has taken 42s so far. 12420 Remaining
<Tue Dec  5 09:38:10>  WARN: RuleManager Flushing jobs has taken 48s so far. 12359 Remaining

Possible cause(s):

These particular messages indicate that there are Rules that are taking up much of the Gateway's processing resources it's possible that the Gateway is overloaded.

Possible solution(s):

You can use Gateway Load Monitoring to identify what is causing the slow downs. For further information on this, please review the Gateway Performance Tuning user guide.
