As a general rule of thumb, we would recommend to review Geneos configuration such that alerts are meaningful and number of alerts should be manageable. Please look for a separate article called Alert Governance, and it is a good starting point. Here we are providing an Active Console option to cope with burst of alerts just in case. |

In Active Console version GA3.0.20-140710 and above, there is an additional option that can improve Active Console performance for large dataviews. This can help for example if large number of triggers are detected for FKM plugin or similar (which such situations should be avoided). The reason behind is that dataviews could have column sorting in place, and this can take up resources if continuous stream of data is received.
The flag is not enabled by default, and it should be set in the ActiveConsole.gci file, and Active Console needs to be restarted. Please make sure not to include any extra space or tab characters on the 2 lines.
