| What does the Load Average in the CPU plugin mean?
The Load Average figures on UNIX-like systems are indicative of the CPU load over the last 1, 5 and 15 minutes. They are based on figures calculated by the operating systems and are reported by the plugin without further change.
On Linux these values are read from the /proc/loadavg pseudo-file. As an example:
The first three values (i.e., 0.07, 0.07 and 0.01 in the example above) correspond to "loadAverage1Min", "loadAverage5Min" and "loadAverage15Min", respectively.
