|What is the difference between the original FIX-analyser plugin and the FIX-analyser2 plugin?
Although both still require configuration of a MySQL database for more detailed analysis of specific FIX orders, the main difference is that the FIX-analyser2 plugin uses built-in memory SQL-lite database for better handling of the queries that can be run from the plugin dataviews.
The FIX-analyser2 plugin needs additional database tables, compared to the original plugin, as written on the README in the schema templates provided with the gateway.
The original FIX-analyser plugin exists in the GA2 netprobes and can still be run by GA3 gateways. On the other hand, the FIX-analyser2 plugin only exists in a separate special build of 64bit (Linux only) and can be used with separate file agents if required, although doesn't need to be.
The latest FIX-analyser2 plugin and documentation can be downloaded from our website www.itrsgroup.com. Click on Downloads -> Fix Analyser 2 Netprobe.
